Presbyopia – a natural change
As we reach our mid-forties our focussing weakens and our arms have to grow longer!
Reading the paper, especially in poor light, becomes difficult and we start thinking about a visit to the optician.
This is is normal natural change. Our elasticity of focus starts to deteriorate in our twenties, but accelerates in our mid-forties. There are a few options to correct the problem:
- Reading glasses
- Bifocals
- Varifocals
- Contact lenses
