If you are unable to come in to Schwarz, we are happy to carry out eye examinations and spectacle dispensing at your home or at residential/nursing homes.
There is no charge for over 60s and others eligible for an NHS eye examination. If you normally pay, the fee is £35.00

Tints for reading difficulties/Dyslexia
For some people tinted spectacles help with reading and writing difficulties. Sometimes called 'Irlen Syndrome', much of this area is poorly understood and we aim to help people understand their problem and assess whether tints will be of benefit.
Having researched several methods to assess for tints, we believe that Intuitive Colorimetry provides the best and most affordable solution.
Our £45.00 assessment will include a full eye examination, measurement of reading speeds and tint assessment.

Retinal photography
With state of the art equipment we can take a high resolution picture of your optic nerve and retina. This is then stored with computer file making subtle changes and disease detection from visit to visit much easier to spot by comparing past and present photos.

Corporate Eyecare
European legislation makes it mandatory for employers to provide an eye examination for all VDU users and spectactles specifically for VDU use. Schwarz offers complete examinations, report writing, spectacle dispensing and direct invoicing.
